Our marketing and communication efforts mirror that mission through ASU-aligned messaging and content that reflects the uniqueness of the School of Life Sciences within the broader ASU community.
Brand language
The School of Life Sciences inspires and transforms our students by providing them with innovative learning experiences that prepare them to thrive in a dynamic and demanding world. They explore everything from molecular biology to animal behavior to environmental science to neurobiology to the history of biology and its impact on society. Discovery drives innovation and our research and educational initiatives are aimed at solving critical problems at the intersection of life sciences and society.
Our pursuit of excellence pushes the boundaries of knowledge while valuing service to our community. We accomplish that by creating synergies among students and faculty, investing in diversity and championing exploration and collaboration. Our commitment to advancing science and education has resulted in the world's best biology class, NeoBio and Dreamscape Learn. Abbreviations
The School of Life Sciences should be spelled out in first instances in all documentation. In subsequent references the use of SOLS may be utilized in internal communications but should be avoided in public-facing marketing materials per ASU brand policy.
Communications intended for a public audience should have the unit name spelled out, or referred to as, “the school,” “the department,” “the center” or “the institute” as appropriate. No units in The College have an approved acronym for communications purposes.
The use of SoLS (with the lowercase “o”) is not in line with ASU brand standards and should not be used in any communications internal or external.
Digital signage
Digital signs are TV displays located inside buildings across ASU campuses and used to communicate ASU messaging. They are a great way to promote our events, programs and initiatives.
