Requesting a Visa
The SOLS HR team can assist you when you are needing to hire or bring over a visitor/researcher on a Visa. We process J1’s, H-1B’s, and Legal Perm Residency (green card) requests.
We help international employees and scholars be successful by preparing for their arrival in a timely manner and ensuring effective onboarding with the ASU community. Proper coordination allows SOLS personnel to enhance ASU’s aspiration to engage globally with people and issues. J-1 Visa
Requestor submits a request three months in advance to SOLS personnel to allow submission, ISSC processing and adequate time for the visa interview and travel.
H-1B Visa
Requestor submits request six months in advance to SOLS personnel to allow submission, ISSC and USCIS processing, and adequate time for the visa interview and travel.
Permanent Residency
SOLS HR recommends starting permanent residency process once hired for tenure-track faculty. Other requests are recommended to be submitted as early as possible.
